Monoprice Maker Select Plus - Unboxing, Setup and Test

I unbox, assemble and test the Monoprice Maker Select Plus, while getting slightly drunk and swearing a lot. The build process is very simple, just attach the Z-tower, and plug in some cables for the steppers and extruder. Then level the bed, load filament and in theory you are good to go.

Later in this series I will compare it to my Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus, and we will start modding it with various upgrades, get it running on OctoPrint, so it can go into "production" in my little homelab/maker space.

The Monoprice Maker Select Plus is a clone - https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=15711 - or maybe even just a rebrand of the Wanhao i3P (only the Mark II seems to be in production now) https://www.wanhao3dprinter.com/Unboxin/ShowArticle.asp?ArticleID=78 - other names it goes under is the Cocoon Create 3D Printer Touch - https://cocoonproducts.com.au/products/3dprinters/3d-printer-touch/- and Powerspec i3 Plus Printer - http://www.powerspec.com/3D_printers/3Dindex.phtml - name and availability varies depending on where you are located in the world.
